AUGUST 2007 PROFILE:
Carolyn Noble

Carolyn has been a lifelong resident of San Benito County. Most of us who are lucky enough to be around her know her for her wonderful personality and her dazzling smile. Something you may not know about Carolyn is that she is crazy about animals.  Carolyn volunteers her time for Pet Friends where she serves as a director and past president.

She devotes much of her free time trapping ferrel cats. Once she catches these little guys she takes them to be spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for feline leukemia…then goes one step further and finds loving homes for these lucky cats. Older cats get released back into their habitat where they can live without reproducing.

Carolyn’s husband Jason said “saving cats is Carolyn’s passion.” Carolyn is responsible for rescuing well over 100 cats this year alone. I don’t know who should be thanking her more….the cats that are now thriving with loving families or the residents of San Benito County who are benefiting from Carolyn’s feline population control? I guess were all winners…I don’t know about you but talking about all of Carolyn’s hard work is making me tired….I’m ready for a cat nap!

JULY 2007 PROFILE:
Irene Agredano Turturici"

Irene Agredano Turturici is an involved life-long resident of San Benito County with strong family ties in the county that date back over 70 years.  Her involvement stems from her belief that change only happens with action.

As a member of the San Benito County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; she, along with the other board members, is responsible for promoting local new businesses by coordinating various activities that include ribbon cutting ceremonies and chamber mixers as well as the recent “shop locally” campaign.  As a board member, she has the opportunity to help with many projects that positively impact the community.

Irene and her family have also established a non-profit foundation that its primary purpose is fundraising and volunteer support for charitable and municipal programs and organizations around the world.
