Chicago Title has proudly served San Benito County for more than 50 years. With an experienced team in escrow and title, no transaction is out of our wide range of tools and services we offer to assist our clients in success. We believe you make the choice; we make the difference!
We have been an active part of the community, supporting local events and organizations including Sober Grad Night, Hollister Youth Alliance, Small Steps, Habitat for Humanity and the Saddle Horse Show and Parade.
We invite you to Chicago Title’s 16th Annual Make a Wish Foundation Softball Tournament, this year on August 11,13 and 15. The Make A Wish Foundation was begun in 1980 by the love of family and friends for a 7-year-old boy with leukemia. His name was Chris, and he dreamed of being a police officer. The loving group worked with the state highway patrol to bring his dream alive, complete with helmet, goggles, badge and a regulation uniform tailored for him. Chris’ mother and friends created the Foundation in his memory. His legacy has granted more than 150,000 wishes.
The Great Bay Area chapter, founded in 1984, granted 27 wishes in its first year. It has grown to be one of the largest chapters, granting more than 4,000 wishes. All the money is used to grant wishes within its own counties. They are granted for children with life-threatening medical conditions, enriching their human experience with hope, strength and joy. Children battling illness put their childhood on hold. Having a wish granted provides no miracle cure, but it can be the rallying point making a difference in the course of an illness.
Our tournament has helped children, but also brings the real estate community together as a team. We all work and play towards one goal: Giving joy to children. Our local Make A Wish Foundation has received more than $375,000 from your dedication.
Chicago Title is truly grateful to you for your business and for your support of the Foundation. For more information please call Michelle at 831.801.4703. |

First American Title Company appeared in San Benito County in 1989 as the underwriter for San Benito Land Title. First American Title was proud to acquire San Benito Land Title in 2002. Several of those original employees are still working for us today. Just as San Benito Land Title started as a county business so did First American Title. The humble beginnings of this company started in 1989 when an undeveloped rural area split away from Los Angeles County and became known as Orange County. Two firms opened to handle title and escrow matters in the brand new county and merged to become one of the first abstract companies in California to issue title insurance, First American Title Insurance Company. During the first 70 years, just as Orange County expanded and grew, so did this company. By 1982 First American Title served every region of the country. On December 3, 1993, the company moved its shares onto the New York stock Exchange.
In addition to its presence across the United States, First American Title has pioneered operations in nearly 70 countries. In 1988, they started in Canada and with its success there they expanded around the world. They were the first title Insurance provider in Mexico, Korea, Hong Kong and has the leading market share in Australia and England.
Just as people depend on their real estate agents to help find the perfect house, their agents often depend on First American to help them through the process. Across the nation real estate professionals are using First American’s residential real estate information, transaction,-management tools and other helpful services to streamline their operations and make each customer’s home buying experience a good one. We’re working behind the scenes to make this important step in your life a satisfying one, because everyone should have the chance to realize the American dream of homeownership.
First American is also working to make the process of getting a mortgage simpler every day. During these tough times we’re helping lenders and homeowners minimize their losses while we’re working to keep families in their homes. First American is making the mortgage process easier, more affordable and more efficient for you every day, because we believe it should be as simple as that.
